Well the boy is starting 1st grade next week. We recieved all his paperwork and the teacher he got comes with good recommendation. I still have left over school supplies so we dont have to buy much, and his clothes are good as well. I should be thrilled, it wont be too expensive this year.
So why do I have a knot in my stomach about him starting school??
I guess because as a kindergardener he was still my "baby".
Now in 1st grade, he is growing up. He has to go through the FRONT DOORS with everyone else. I don't drop him off in the back, and hand him over to a capable woman holding the doors open for him. I have to let him go free, and enter the building alone. I think this may be harder than dropping him off in Kindergarden. *sigh*....

His teacher is Mrs. Mcguire. I heard good things about her, so we will see...
Oh Honey - It just get's worse - my oldest started 7th grade and I was so sad my youngest is going to Pre-k at big school all day and rides the bus with his brothers and sister and it brings a tear to my eye everyday. Have fun it's a long road ahead but boy I wouldn't take anything for it. My littlest angel tells me everyday mommy I missed you today and it just makes me know no matter where they are they still love us and they are always our babies no matter how big they get. Hope this school year is great for you!!
